Doris Eileen Stauch passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the age of 100.
A resident of Pawling, NY, for the past five years, she was born in Downing, Missouri, on December 27, 1921, daughter of Chauncey and Jewel (Tadlock) Lewis. She graduated from Downing High School in 1939 and attended business school in Quincy, IL. She married Richard John Stauch on October 23, 1943; he predeceased her in 2002.
She was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Bryan, TX, and attended Drew United Methodist Church in Carmel, NY, where she often volunteered at the Thrift Shop. She attended the Seniors group in Patterson, NY, for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Gay Safford, and Michael Driscoll, who she has lived with for many years; her sister, Helen Reeder of San Antonio, TX, her brother, Dennis Lewis of Kerrville, TX; and her three grandchildren, Paul Safford and granddaughter in law Tracy Stano of Austin, TX, Laura Safford and her boyfriend Eric Greenwell of Lynnwood, WA, Kristen Safford of Norfolk, VA, and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at the Bryan City Cemetery, Bryan, TX, on Saturday, February 5, 2022.
