Obituary, Leah A. Maile

Leah A. Maile, 85, passed away on January 1, 2022, at Danbury Hospital, Danbury, Connecticut. She was born in Solon, Maine on March 22, 1936, the daughter of Kayle K. and Clara (Austin) Baker.  Leah was a graduate of Skowhegan High School in Skowhegan, Maine.

Leah moved to New York to work at IBM and Harlem Valley Hospital and later worked at the National Bank of Pawling, Chemical Bank, Shipping Out, and Ditron.

She married Harry “Bill” Maile on January 18, 1958, at St. John’s Church, Pawling, NY. He predeceased her on October 17, 2007.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Gallagher, and husband, Ronald Gallagher of Pawling. Her son, Tyler K. Maile, and wife Amy C. Baker-Maile of Holmes.

Her granddaughters, Beth (Gallagher)Camann and husband Michael of Wingdale, Rebecca Maile-Prishchepov and husband Dr. Andrey Prishchepov of Pawling, and her grandson, Douglas T. Maile of Holmes.

Her great grandsons, Noah and Aidan Camann of Wingdale. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Barbara Baker of Smithfield, Maine, and several nieces and nephews.

Leah is predeceased by her sisters, Beverly True of Mercer, Maine, Elaine Morgan of Essex Jct, Vermont, and her brother, Kendall Baker of Smithfield, Maine.
