$237,500 in New Grants

Now Accepting Letters of Inquiry for Its Fall Grant Cycle

CORTLANDT MANOR, NY, MAY 19, 2021 – Field Hall Foundation announces $237,500 in new grants through its Spring grant cycle.  Funding will be used to pilot, support and expand nine programs that will improve the lives of older adults and their caregivers in Dutchess, Putnam and Westchester counties.

Some of the organizations receiving full grants include:

Catholic Charities Community Services of Westchester

$35,000 – To provide case management, eviction prevention assistance and technology skills to seniors directly affected by the pandemic in Putnam and Westchester counties

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Dutchess County

$37, 500 – To support the Relatives as Parents Program, which provides assistance to seniors raising their grandchildren in Dutchess county

Pace Women’s Justice Center

$50, 000 – To expand the Elder Justice Unit, which provides free legal services to seniors experiencing elder abuse in Putnam and Westchester counties

Westchester Jewish Community Services

$50, 000 – To expand their Geriatric Care Management Program, which helps low-income seniors age safely and well in Westchester County

Small grants were awarded to:

Long Term Care Community Coalition

$15, 000 – To equip families with the information and resources to advocate for better care for their loved ones in nursing homes in Dutchess, Putnam and Westchester counties

Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry, Inc.

$5,000 – To support their home-delivery program to seniors in the Mt. Kisco area

Second Chance Foods

$5,000 – To support their meal and grocery delivery program to homebound seniors in Putnam county

United Way of Westchester and Putnam Counties

$10, 000 – To include senior-specific essential goods with their home-delivery program to seniors in Putnam and Westchester counties
