Stanford, New York – On January 8, 2021, the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Kyle Ropeter, age 21, of Wilton, NY, for Falsely Reporting an Incident, a class A misdemeanor.

On December 13, 2020, Troopers responded to Bulls Head Road in the town of Stanford for a report of a subject with a handgun displayed.  Investigation determined Ropeter falsely reported the incident to Dutchess County 911.

Ropeter was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Stanford Court on February 24, 2021, at 4:00 p.m.
