Statement from Judge Peter Forman on his 25 vote victory
“Earlier this week, a Justice of the Supreme Court agreed with my claims of absentee ballot irregularities in the Independence Party primary and ordered that several improperly-cast ballots be set aside. The Board of Elections has just finished counting the remaining ballots and I have emerged victorious.
“I thank the Independence Party voters for coming out to vote for me in the primary. This will be my 4th time that I carry the Independence Party banner in a county-wide election. I am especially grateful for the overwhelming support that I received from my friends and neighbors in Beacon who provided my margin of victory. As the incumbent County Court Judge, I look forward to the rest of this campaign where I can discuss my record on the bench over the past 20 years.”
