Obituary, Roland Karl Reuss

Dover Plains – Roland Karl Reuss, 52, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY died on Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Center in Newburgh, NY. Mr. Re uss was a master craftsman at Hunt Country Furniture in Wingdale, NY for 31 years. He mastered his wood working craft in Wurzburg, Germany.

Born on February 27, 1963 in Flushing, NY he was the son of the late Anton Stephen and Hildagard (Fuchs) Reuss. On October 27, 1991 in East Meadow, NY he married Nancy Slogick who survives at home. Mr. Reuss was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Millerton Gun Club. He was also a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Dover Plains, NY.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Reuss is survived by his two daughters, Lauren A. Reuss and Catherine V. Reuss both of Dover Plains, NY and a niece, Pia Reuss of Germany. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Stephen Reuss.
