Anita Broast of Germantown has been granted Professor Emerita status at Columbia-Greene Community College

Anita Broast of Germantown has been granted Professor Emerita status at Columbia-Greene Community College, following her retirement from the college at the close of the 2019-2019 academic year.

Broast was recognized for her 35 years of service to the college at a meeting of the C-GCC Board of Trustees on Monday, Sept. 16.

The resolution designating Broast’s Emerita status also detailed her many contributions to the college during her employment.

“Broast served on college committees, acted as Co-Division Chair, developed new courses, volunteered for countless student events, supported athletic teams and Foundation fundraisers, [and] was a member of the Daycare Center Board,” states the resolution. She was presented the honor by Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees Peter O’Hara and C-GCC President Carlee Drummer, Ph.D.
