Pleasant Valley woman charged with Driving While Intoxicated

PRESS RELEASE

Washington, New York – On April 10, 2015, New York State Police from the Dover barracks arrested Brittney C. Zipay, 19 years old, of Pleasant Valley, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.

Troopers were dispatched by Dutchess County 911 to investigate a property damage auto accident that occurred at the intersection of Christian Hill Road and State Route 343, about 5 miles from the Village of Millbrook.

Investigation revealed that Zipay was traveling southwest on Christian Hill Road and failed to stop at the stop sign located at the intersection of State Route 343 and Christian Hill Road. The vehicle exited the roadway and subsequently struck a guide rail.

While troopers conducted the accident investigation, they noted clues that indicated Zipay was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

Zipay provided a positive breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content
of .09% and was issued tickets directing her to appear in the Town of Washington Court on April 21, 2015.
