Distracted Driving Enforcement
On April 11, 2015 between the hours of 10:00AM and 4:00PM, the State Police in Cortlandt conducted a Distracted Driving Enforcement Initiative focusing on ST-6 in the Town of Cortlandt. The State Police issued a total of 26 tickets, the majority for texting while driving. This highway safety initiative perpetuates the mission of the State Police to reduce deaths, injuries and property damage caused by motor vehicle accidents through vehicle and traffic enforcement.
