May 23rd was slated to be rainy and stormy, but mostly sunshine prevailed during the Pawling Rotary 8th Annual Golf Outing at the Quaker Hill Country Club. Twenty-eight golfers enjoyed the beautiful course, won prizes, and took part in the evening’s dinner and tribute to Rotary’s President and Honoree, Ann Godesky. The dinner event was attended by almost one hundred friends and community members, with guests participating in the outings newly added Silent Auction, helping Rotary to exceed their fundraising goals this spring.

Funds raised will support the Roger Smith/Pawling Rotary Scholarship Fund, which provides college scholarships to two college bound seniors at Pawling High School, as well as 5 scholarship to the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA) which is held annually on the Mount Saint Mary’s Campus in Newburgh, New York. Several other educational initiatives are also supported by this event.

Event Chair, John Ammaturo, served as Master of Ceremonies at the dinner, introducing Ann Godesky, who spoke briefly. Rotary members were on hand to assure that the evening went smoothly, and the hospitality provided by the Quaker Hill Country Club staff was first rate.
