Pleasant Valley woman arrested for stabbing

PRESS RELEASE
Pleasant Valley, New York – On May 22, 2019, the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Mikala L. Riggleman, age 24, of Pleasant Valley, for Assault in the 2nd degree, a class D felony, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4thdegree, a class A misdemeanor.

At approximately 5:00 a.m., Troopers responded to West Road in the town of Pleasant Valley for a domestic dispute.  Investigation found Riggleman engaged in a physical domestic, and subsequently stabbed the victim with a knife.  The injuries sustained by the victim were non-life-threatening.

Riggleman was arraigned before the town of Pleasant Valley Court, and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 secure bond.  Riggleman is next scheduled to appear before the Court on May 28, 2019, at 9:00 a.m.
