State Police in Livingston seeking the public’s assistance with Xtra Mart robberies

Columbia County, New York – May 23, 2019, the New York State Police from the Livingston barracks are seeking the public’s assistance identifying a subject involved in the robbery of the Xtra Mart on Route 9 in the town of Claverack and the Xtra Mart in the town of Clermont.

The robberies of both stores occurred between 1:00 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. and the suspect may have traveled in a dark colored sedan.  The suspect used a sledge hammer with a blue handle, and stole Newport cigarettes, skipping over all other brands.
