Elizabeth Meaney of Pawling Presents Project at Research and Creative Activity Day

ONEONTA, NY (04/25/2019)– Elizabeth Meaney, a junior from Pawling, NY, presented a project at SUNY Oneonta’s annual Student Research and Creative Activity Day event on April 18-19.

Meaney developed an original project titled “Crossing the Fine Line between Fashion and Trash” under the guidance of Bharath Ramkumar of the Human Ecology Department.

Created to recognize and promote undergraduate scholarship and creative activity, Student Research & Creative Activity Day has become the premier on-campus event for scholarly student exhibition. A total of 152 students, supported by faculty sponsors from a variety of academic disciplines, displayed poster presentations in the college’s Hunt College Union during the two-day showcase.

Located in the Leatherstocking Region of New York State, SUNY Oneonta is a mid-size, public, liberal arts and sciences college with a pre-professional focus. The college enrolls approximately 6,000 students in a wide variety of bachelor’s degree programs and a number of graduate certificates and degrees.
