North Salem Burglar charged following extensive investigation

PRESS RELEASE

North Salem, New York – On April 8, 2015, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Somers arrested Michael Krisa, age 30, of Purdys, New York, for 4 counts of Burglary following a prolonged investigation into several residential burglaries committed in the Towns of North Salem and Somers, Westchester County.

Krisa is accused of breaking into three unoccupied residences in the Town of North Salem over the last few months and removing jewelry and electronic devices. He is also accused of breaking into a business in Somers and removing property.

The suspect was arrested at his residence in Purdys without incident. Proceeds from the burglaries were recovered at his residence and from his vehicle.

The defendant was transported to the State Police Barracks in Somers where he was charged with three counts of Burglary 2nd Degree, a Class C Felony, and one count of Burglary 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony.

Krisa was arraigned in the Town of Somers Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in both North Salem and Somers Courts respectively on April 13, 2015.
