A winter resident of Spring Hill, FL, Jane grew up in Wingdale, NY graduating from Dover High School in 1966. Born in Norwalk, CT on February 24, 1948, she was the only child of the late Oliver and Eleanor (Barringer) Crowley. Before retiring, Jane worked at the former Harlem Valley State Hospital in Wingdale, NY as a principle accounting clerk. She met Robert “Doug” Kanthak when he came home from the Navy, and they were married in Pawling on May 26, 1973, and made they home in Pawling from 1973-76, and then moved to Poughquag.
Jane was a member of the CSEA at HVPC and a former member of the Beekman Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY Saturday, December 1st from 4-6 PM, with a funeral service at 5:30. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
