State Police Liberty arrest Parksville man for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance

PRESS RELEASE

State Police in Liberty announce the arrest of Roy Ackerley, 24, of Parksville, New York for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree. On April 3, 2015 at around 1:30 a.m. Mr. Ackerley was the front seat passenger in a 2009 Chevrolet that was stopped for a head light violation on Sullivan Avenue in the Village of Liberty. While being interviewed a glassine envelope was observed on the front seat where Mr. Ackerley was sitting. The envelope was found to contain heroin and Mr. Ackerley was placed under arrest. He was processed at the Liberty barracks for CPCS 7th and released on an appearence ticket. Mr. Ackerley has to appear in the Town of Liberty Court on April 30, 2015 at 2 p.m..
