Fishkill – Ethel M. Robitaille better known as May Robitaille passed away peacefully on April 1, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was 85.

Born on August 5, 1929 in Danbury, CT to the late Elmer and Maude O’Dell Smith Sr.

May was a graduate of Pawling High School and attended Krissler Business Institute.

She was a retired secretary for the Fishkill Correctional Parole Board.

May was an avid New York Yankee Fan and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed sharing pictures and stories of them with others. May was an inspiration that no hardship was too big or small to overcome. May and Paul taught their family unconditional love and could often be seen walking hand and hand throughout the Village of Fishkill.

May is survived by her devoted husband Paul Robitaille, Loving Children Linda Peltier, Richard Harris and his wife Linda, and Shelley Piccone and her husband Tony. Cherished grandchildren Bonnie Peltier, Jennifer Brewer, Monique Peltier, Joshua Harris, Michael Harris, Brendon Harris, Ricky Harris, Nino Piccone, Heather Piccone, and Nicholas Piccone. Great grandchildren, Griffin, Addison, Brayden, Maddox, Ashtyn, Brianna, Savannah, Noah, Cecilia. Step Children Paula Robitaille and her husband Brian Marcinkowski, Peter Robitaille, and Dana Robitaille and his wife Marie. Step Grandchildren Scott Marcinkowski, Gregg Marcinkowski, Nicholas Robitaille and Luis Robitaille.

She was predeceased by her brothers Elmer Smith, Jr and David Smith.

Friends may call on Friday April 3, 2015 from 3-8pm at 1028 Main St, Fishkill. A Service will be held on Saturday April 4, 2015 at 11am at the Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Community Mausoleum.
