Troopers arrest Bronx man for Driving While Intoxicated

PRESS RELEASE

Yonkers, New York – On March 28, 2015, New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks arrested Jorge Perez, 34 years old, of the Bronx, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Felony, due to a previous DWI related conviction.

The arrest occurred after Troopers stopped Perez for speeding on the Sprain Brook Parkway. Perez was operating a 1999 Lexus that was observed traveling 90 mph in a 55 mph zone.

While Troopers interviewed Perez, they observed clues that indicated he was intoxicated at the time of the stop.

Perez was charged with felony Driving While Intoxicated, when it was discovered that he was convicted of DWI in 2012. It was also discovered that there were 4 outstanding warrants for his arrest, all DWI related. Perez was held pending arraignment.
