Two Yonkers men arrested in connection with multi-agency robbery investigation

PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police at Cortlandt announce the arrest of two individuals following the recent armed robbery at the Mobil Station, 2225 Crompond Road, in the Town of Cortlandt.

Michael Caccavale, age 35, of Yonkers, New York, was arrested following an intense search conducted in the Washington Heights section of New York City during the early morning hours of April 2nd. He has been remanded to Westchester County Jail without bail.

The second defendant, Nicholas Fiore, age 24, of Yonkers, was arrested following a traffic stop conducted in Yonkers on March 30th. He has also been remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.

Caccavale and Fiore have also been implicated in armed robberies in Dutchess and Rockland County in New York and multiple jurisdictions in the State of Connecticut, and additional charges are expected.

The State Police were assisted in this investigation by the Town of Clarkstown Police, the Village of Wappinger Falls Police, the Connecticut State Police, the Greenwich (Connecticut) Police Department, the Norwich (Connecticut) Police Department, the U.S. Postal Inspectors Office, and the FBI.
