Liberty, NY man arrested for Criminal Possession of a controlled substance, and Criminal Possession of a weapon 4th

On September 21, 2018, State Police at Liberty charged Juan Lopez, age 28 of Liberty, NY, with Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 7^th and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4^th both (class A Misdemeanors).  Troopers stopped Lopez in a 1998 Volkswagen in Parksville NY, for a vehicle and traffic law violation.  A probable cause vehicle search was completed and the Trooper’s located a plastic straw containing cocaine residue and a functional stun gun.

He was transported to SP Liberty, processed and issued an appearance ticket for the Town of Liberty Court to appear on October 10, 2018, at 2 p.m.
