Obituary, Ann G. “Nina” Miller

Lagrange – Ann G. “Nina” Miller, 92, an area resident for 50 years, died peacefully at her home on September 20, 2018.

Born in Endicott on April 18, 1926, she was the daughter of Joseph and Lucy (Piepoli) Greco. Nina had been employed as a Real Estate Broker with H.W. Guernsey Real Estate in Millbrook. Nina had been an avid tennis player and Girl Scout Leader/Neighborhood Chairman for many years. She taught CCD at Holy Trinity Church, and attended both St. Joseph’s Church in Millbrook and St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church in LaGrangeville. An expert seamstress, she often made her own clothes as a young girl and continued the hobby of sewing and arts and crafts over time.

On December 27, 1952 in Endicott, Nina married the love of her life, Ward Miller, who survives at home. She is also survived by her children, Andrea and Michael Rhodes of Tivoli, and Neil Miller and Kristy Carlson of New York City; her sister, Margaret George of Johnson City; her sister-in-law, Bets Ramsey of Nashville, TN; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Frank Greco, John Greco, and Rose Quinn, and her twin sister, Vita Dearie.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-8pm at  895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at 11 am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville.
