DANBURY CT – Kayla Mooney, 24, of Danbury a first year high school science teacher is accused of inappropriate behavior with a student and has been charged with second-degree sexual assault and providing alcohol to a minor.
Mooney, turned herself into police headquarters at 5 p.m. Tuesday following a seven-week investigation.
Mooney was placed on administrative leave Feb. 10 after allegations that she had inappropriate sexual contact with a male student. Her name was not released at the time because she had not been charged with a crime.
Mooney was released without bail and is due in Court on April 14.
