Bridge to be Repaired on Hurley Road in Pleasant Valley

The Dutchess County Department of Public Works (DPW) has announced work on Bridge PV-10 on Hurley Road in the Town of Pleasant Valley is expected to begin on or about August 30th. The one-lane bridge, located over the Wappinger Creek near the intersection of Scout Road, will have its concrete surface rehabilitated and the steel repainted.

Hurley Road will be closed on or about August 30th and throughout the construction with a detour route posted, and with an anticipated reopening by early-October. The planned detour will direct traffic along Scout Road, Hibernia Road, and North Avenue (CR 72) around the closure. The bridge averages approximately 195 vehicles per day.

Motorists are advised to plan for additional time and to exercise extra caution, obey the posted speed limits, traffic advisory signs, and the directions from flaggers in the work zone to ensure the safety of workers and other motorists.
