Judie Mills, age 80, of Kent, Ct., died August 18, 2018, at Sharon Hospital after a brief illness.
Judie was born March 17, 1938, in Russell, Kansas. She attended Kansas University and the Oklahoma College for Woman. She moved to New York City in 1960 and began a career in publishing. She worked as an Art Director for McGraw Hill, Franklin Watts, both in New York City and for Millbrook Press in Brookfield, CT. She also wrote two biographies for young adults on John F. Kennedy and Robert Kennedy. A lifelong Democrat, Judie loved animals, books, and the movies.
She is survived by her best friend and long-time companion Mary Ellen Casey of Kent, CT, and her cousin Pat Mahoney of Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was predeceased by her brother, Michael Mills.
