NYSP Seize $1 Million worth of High Grade Marijuana

PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police Announce the arrest of Danny A. Aguayo, age 35, of Stamford, CT, and Anthony Donofrio, age 69, of New Rochelle, NY, for Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the First Degree, a Class C Felony.  

On July 27, 2018, a vehicle and traffic stop was executed on a 2018 Rental vehicle on State Route 208 in the Town of Montgomery, which was being operated by Donofrio. A strong odor of marijuana was detected which led to a search of their vehicle. Secreted in a large wooden container in the bed of the pickup truck, State Police found over 204 pounds of high grade marijuana that was individually packaged. The marijuana has a street value of over $1 Million dollars.

Aguayo and Donofrio were both charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the First Degree. They were arraigned and remanded to the Orange County Jail on $50,000 Cash Bail, $100,000 bond.
