The Storm Prediction Center has placed most of eastern New York and adjacent western New England within a Marginal to Slight Risk for severe thunderstorms for this afternoon and evening. Damaging wind gusts and hail one inch in diameter or greater would be the primary threats from these scattered thunderstorms. If the threat for more widespread flooding increases, a flash flood watch may be needed later today. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. Scattered thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected at this time. $$
