State Police in Livingston arrest man for Rape

Copake, New York – On July 22, 2018, the New York State Police arrested Saury Minaya, age 24, of the Dominican Republic, for Rape in the 1st degree, a class B felony.
On July 22, 2018, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Troopers, and Investigators from SP Livingston responded to Berkshire Hills Eisenberg Camp on Empire Road in the town of Copake for a report of sexual assault. An investigation found the suspect Minaya, and the victim were both counselors at the Camp.
The investigation also revealed that no children at the camp were endangered.
Minaya was arraigned before the town of Claverack Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail. Minaya was next scheduled to appear before the Columbia County Court on July 23, 2018, at 3:00 p.m.
