East Fishkill man arrested for felony DWI in Westchester

PRESS RELEASE

Mount Pleasant, New York – On July 16, 2018, the New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks arrested Eric W. Johnson, age 52, of East Fishkill, NY, for Driving While Intoxicated with Two Prior Convictions, a class D felony, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st degree, a class E felony.

On July 16, 2018, at approximately 7:55 p.m., Troopers conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Mount Pleasant.  An investigation found Johnson was under the influence of alcohol, and his license was revoked due to a prior DWI charge.

Johnson was arraigned before the town of North Castle Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $15,000 bond.  Johnson is next scheduled to appear before the town of Mount Pleasant Court on July 19, 2018, at 9:30 a.m.
