Lagrange man arrested for felony DWI

Lagrange, New York – On July 16, 2018, the New York State Police from the Lagrange barracks arrested William A. Boggs, age 45, of Lagrange, for Driving While Intoxicated with a Prior Conviction, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st degree, both class E felonies, and Circumventing an Interlock Device, a class A misdemeanor.
On July 16, 2018, Troopers conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on a 2007 Pontiac for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law on Firemens Way in the town of Lagrange. An investigation found Boggs was operating the vehicle while intoxicated, with a revoked license due to a prior DWI charge, and the vehicle was not equipped with an interlock device.
Boggs was arraigned before the town of Lagrange Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond. Boggs was next scheduled to appear before the Court on July 17, 2018, at 5:00 p.m.
