Donna G. Kaplan, 73, a twenty-nine year resident of Millbrook, NY, died Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Lutheran Care Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Donna worked as a dental assistant for Howard Friedman, DDS in Red Oaks Mills, NY for many years.
Born May 16, 1945, in Mahopac, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Stella (Valyou) Miller. Following high school, she attended college and received training in the dental care field. In her spare time, Donna enjoyed gardening and cooking and picture puzzles and was an avid reader. She will always be remembered for her kind and caring nature and her thoughtfulness when helping family and friends. She will be dearly missed by her entire family.
Donna is survived by her beloved partner of 29 years Sal Carrubba of Millbrook; two loving brothers, Al Andrews and his wife Beth of Millerton and Roger Miller and her sister Esther Gray and her husband David. In addition to her parents she was also predeceased by two brothers, William F. and Kenneth R. Miller.
There are no calling hours. Private graveside services and burial will take place in Millerton, NY, at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Hudson Valley Hospice or the Dutchess County SPCA.
