Kesten Campaign Welcomes Harckham into Race

I welcome my friend Pete Harckham into the Democratic race for NYS Senate District 40. We both share a goal of turning the Senate blue and unseating Terrence Murphy.

As most of you know, I have spent the last year dedicated to uniting the party stalwarts and newly engaged activists alike, making for a more vibrant and engaged Democratic Party. I have spent countless hours — along with many of you — working to elect George Latimer, Shelley Mayer, the slates in Yorktown, Peekskill, Lewisboro, New Castle, Pound Ridge, and elsewhere inside and outside of the District.

Working together, we have identified the key issues facing the 40th Senate District, held eight town hall meetings, and worked to build a strong coalition united in the goal of bringing meaningful reform to Albany.

I’ve worked with you against the IDC and in support of real Democrats, and will continue to do so. I pledge to make this a full-time position, serving the people and only the people.

The primary process is one that allows the public to select their candidate. We are proud to have earned the endorsements of nearly all of the Democratic Committees in the 40th Senate District, as well as virtually all activist groups – including, just this morning, Indivisible Pawling.

Petitioning starts in just over three weeks, on June 5th, and we can’t wait. We will be out in force in Lewisboro, Yorktown, North Salem, New Castle, Mount Pleasant, Mount Kisco, Peekskill, Beekman, Pawling, Southeast, Patterson, Pound Ridge, Somers, Carmel and Cortlandt. If you haven’t yet signed up to volunteer at www.electkesten.com, there is no better time.

Onward together!
