Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

On May 11, 2018, New York State Police at Liberty arrested 31-year-old Jerard V. Chow of Deer Park, NY for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Chow was operating a vehicle on Resorts World Drive in the town of Thompson when he was stopped for a traffic offense. A DMV inquiry on Chow’s vehicle revealed he was operating with a suspended registration. While conducting an inventory of the vehicle for an impound, the Trooper located two electronic Vape devices each containing concentrated cannabis oil. Chow was taken into custody and transported to the State Police barracks in Liberty for processing. Chow was released with an Appearance Ticket and is scheduled to return to the town of Thompson Court on a later date.
