New Lebanon woman arrested following a domestic dispute

New Lebanon, New York – On May 8, 2018, the New York State Police from the New Lebanon barracks arrested Tina M. Provost, age 52, of New Lebanon for Assault in the 2nddegree, a class D felony, Criminal Mischief in the 3rd degree, a class E felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th degree, a class A misdemeanor, and Menacing in the 3rd degree, a class B misdemeanor.
On May 8, 2018, at approximately 6:40 p.m., Troopers were dispatched to State Route 20 in the town of New Lebanon for a noise complaint. An investigation found a domestic dispute had taken place, in which Provost struck the victim multiple times with a baseball bat, and broke several windows with a broom at the residence.
Provost was arraigned before the town of New Lebanon Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $5,000 bond. An order of protection was requested for, and issued in favor of the victim.
