Monday, May 7th was full of sunshine, warmth, and good will, as the Pawling Rotary Club held its 7th Annual Golf Outing honoring Pawling’s own, Sheriff Adrian “Butch” Anderson, at the Quaker Hill Country Club. Thirty- two golfers spent the afternoon on this award- winning course, attempting to capture the grand hole-in-one prize, a two- year lease on a 2018 Ford F150 Pickup Truck made available by Colonial Ford of Danbury, who was an event sponsor.

Capping the day was a superb Roast Beef dinner prepared by country club Chef Jose, which was attended by 65 golfers, guests and friends, including Pawling Mayor Rob Liffland and Town Supervisor James Schmitt.

After a brief introduction by event co-chair, John Ammaturo, Sheriff Anderson spoke eloquently about his lifelong mission of service, and his wife, Danielle, spoke with pride about the life she shares with someone who is so committed to helping others.

The generosity of those in attendance, along with support from members of the Pawling business community, made this annual event a success. Dollars raised will fund the Roger Smith/Pawling Rotary Scholarship fund, as well as other Rotary educational initiatives.
