City of Newburgh man arrested for the possession of narcotics and for unlawfully possessing firearms

PRESS RELEASE

On March 24th, 2015, the New York State Police – Highland BCI in conjunction with the Town of Marlborough Police Department announce the arrest of 33 year old, Arthur Henderson, of Newburgh, NY.

Henderson was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third, Fourth and Seventh Degrees (class B Felony, class C Felony and class A Misdemeanor respectively) and for Criminal Possession of Weapon in the Second Degree (a class C Felony) subsequent to an ongoing investigation into drug sales in the Town of Marlborough area. A search warrant conducted on Henderson’s residence in the City of Newburgh yielded the seizure of 2 unlawfully possessed firearms along with heroin. Additional evidence evincing narcotic sales was also recovered from Henderson’s residence.

Henderson was arraigned before Judge Kraiza in the Town of Marlborough Court on 03/25/15 and was subsequently remanded to Ulster County Jail on no bail. Henderson will return to the Town of Marlborough Court for a felony preliminary hearing on a date that will be determined at a later time.
