State Police asking for public’s assistance in identifying male who stopped motorist in Orange County

PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police at Monroe are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the male portrayed in the attached sketch. On the evening of Sunday, March 22nd at approximately 6:15PM this subject utilized a flashing light to stop a female motorist on St 17 westbound in Blooming Grove near Exit 129. He was operating a dark sedan, possibly black and white, and wearing blue clothing. He identified himself as a police officer and secured the woman’s license and registration. He returned the items to the woman after detaining her on the side of the road for approximately twenty minutes.
