Greenport man arrested for heroin possession following a traffic stop in Livingston

Livingston, New York – On April 29, 2018, the New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested Mark A. Burnett, age 30, of Greenport, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor.

On April 29, 2018, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 2008 Dodge Caliber for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law on County Route 19 in the town of Livingston.  Troopers observed a glassine envelope containing heroin in plain view, and continued investigation found additional envelopes weighing approximately 0.7 grams.

Burnett was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Livingston Court on May 3, 2018, at 6:00 p.m.
