Book donations for the Friends of the Pine Plains Library Book Sale are being accepted through May 19 during regular hours of Pine Plains Free Library. Paperbacks, as well as hardcover, are welcome. Sorry, we cannot accept textbooks, VHS tapes, encyclopedias or magazines.
The Annual book Sale will be held by FRIENDS of the Pine Plains Free Library in the Pine Plains Library (2nd floor) during MEMORIAL DAY weekend on Saturday, May 26, 9:30-2:00 and on Monday, May 28, 9:00 – 1:00. A wide selection of children, teen and adult books will be there. A wide range will be available to include crafts & self-help, gardening, cooking, history and mystery books. Paperbacks, 50 cents and hardcover, $1.00.
Awards for Young Writers Contest will be presented by Friends of the Pine Plains Free Library on Sunday, May 20, at 2 pm in the Pine Plains Community Center, 2nd floor of the library. This is the 5th year of the contest that is open to students in grades 6-12 in the Pine Plains Central School District, Students may submit entries in the categories of poetry fiction and non-fiction.
