Faso Participates in Bipartisan Visit to South Korea

Washington D.C. – Congressman John Faso (R-Kinderhook) is traveling this week to South Korea with a bipartisan group of House members to meet with South Korean officials, business leaders, and national security and military experts.

Meetings and visits will center around strengthening ties between the two countries. Rep. Faso will engage with his counterparts in the Korean government to discuss military, diplomatic, and trade matters. This includes, but is not limited to, on-going bilateral trade discussions, increased defense cooperation, and the efforts by North and South Korea to improve relations between the two counties and denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.

The congressional delegation will also meet with U.S. diplomatic and military officials during the stay. Among the Congressional delegation, Faso will be joined by one Republican and three Democratic colleagues.

Congressman Faso will return to New York later this week and will be available for press interviews. Press interested in speaking with Rep. Faso can contact Joe Gierut atJoe.Gierut@Mail.House.Gov or 202-731-2262.
