Brief foot chase leads to arrest of Parolee

State Police in Liberty arrested 33 yr old Gregory P. Myers of Liberty, NY for Obstructing Governmental Administration, Resisting Arrest and Aggravated Unlicensed Operator 2nddegree after a brief foot pursuit. Myers was operating a vehicle on South Main St in the Town of Liberty when he was stopped for numerous traffic violations. Myers fled his vehicle on foot after the Trooper initiated a traffic stop. After a brief foot chase, Myers was taken into custody without incident. Myers is a NYS Parolee and the NYS Dept of Corrections and Community Supervision was contacted. Myers was arraigned in the Town of Thompson Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail with no bail. Myers to appear at the Town of Liberty Court on a later date.
