Florida man arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance

PRESS RELEASE

On March 11th, 2018, State Police at Wurtsboro charged Eric M. Fugate, 51, of Port St. Lucie, Florida with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7^th (Class A Misdemeanor). Troopers affected a traffic stop on a black Subaru RX for speeding on Kingston Ave in the village of Wurtsboro. Subsequent to the stop, a strong odor of marijuana was detected and during a probable cause search, a glass vial containing concentrated cannabis oil was located.

Fugate was taken into custody and processed without incident, and issued an appearance ticket to appear in the town of Mamakating Court on March 22^th, 2018 at 9:30 am.
