On 03/20/15 the Orange County Child Abuse Unit, which is comprised of members from the New York State Police, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Town of Warwick Police and Village of Goshen Police, arrested a 26 year old City of Middletown man for the felony charge of Rape in the Third Degree and the misdemeanor charge of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

State Police arrested and charged YAKEIM HOLLIS, age 26, of Middletown, NY following an investigation of a report to the New York State Child Abuse Hotline in February 2015. The investigation was conducted in conjunction with the Orange County Department of Social Services – Child Protective Services and it was revealed that HOLLIS had sexual intercourse with a child under 17 years old on more than one occasion in 2014. HOLLIS was familiar with the victim.

HOLLIS was arraigned before the City of Middletown Court, Honorable Judge Brockett and was remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $10,000.00 cash bail or $10.000.00 bond. He will return to court on March 26, 2015 at 9:00AM.
