St. Patrick’s Day Crackdown period results in 33 arrests in Dutchess County
During the St. Patrick’s Day Crackdown period of March 13, 2015 thru March 18, 2015 members of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department, Town of Hyde Park Police Department, Town of East Fishkill Police Department, City of Poughkeepsie Police Department, City of Beacon Police Department, Village of Millerton Police Department and Village of Wappingers Falls Police Department conducted Impaired Driving details consisting of Saturation Patrols during the three day period. The arrests included 30 impaired driving arrests, as well as 3 other arrests.
These details were funded by the Governors Traffic Safety Board and the NYS STOP-DWI Foundation which once again awarded the Dutchess County STOP-DWI Program a “Crackdown Enforcement Grant” for the 2014-2015 Crackdown periods. The objective of this continued enforcement grant is to revitalize and enhance the visibility of the STOP-DWI Program through coordinated multi-agency impaired driving enforcement details targeting identified statewide crackdown periods. They also include the assignment of certified Drug Recognition Experts (DRE) to aid in the identification and apprehension of drivers impaired by drugs other than alcohol.

Shaakira Epps (30 yoa) of Poughkeepsie, NY was charged with DWI, BAC .08% or more & Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3rd, all misdemeanors in the City of Poughkeepsie.
Paul Donfried (55 yoa) of Richmond, MA was charged with DWI, BAC .08% or more and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3rd, all misdemeanors in the Village of Millerton.
Cristin Sauter (23 yoa) of Stanfordville, NY was charged with DWI & BAC .08% or more, both misdemeanors in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
Jamaal Graham (30 yoa) of Poughkeepsie, NY was charged with DWI & BAC .08% or more, both misdemeanors.
Loretta Brunello (55 yoa) of Poughkeepsie, NY was charged with DWI & Aggravated DWI, both misdemeanors in the Town of Poughkeepsie.

Diane Mellia (39 yoa) of Hyde Park, NY was charged with DWI & BAC .08% or more, both misdemeanors in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
Jennifer Nolan (25 yoa) of Poughkeepsie, NY was charged with DWI & Aggravated DWI, both misdemeanors in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
Scott Gray (48 yoa) of Hyde Park, NY was charged with DWI & BAC .08% or more, both misdemeanors in the Town of Hyde Park.
Jesus Hernandez (26 yoa) of Dover Plains, NY was charged with DWI & BAC .08% or more, both misdemeanors in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
Christina Volte (22 yoa) of Wappingers Falls, NY was charged with DWI & BAC .08% or more, both misdemeanors in the Town of Wappinger.
Layne Sohun (39 yoa) of Fishkill, NY was charged with DWAI by Alcohol, a violation and DWAI Drugs, a misdemeanor in the City of Poughkeepsie.
Muneer Nesheiwat (40 yoa) of Poughkeepsie, NY was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, a felony for possessing two unregistered handguns and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, a misdemeanor in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
Nicholas Maki (20 yoa) of Beekman, NY was charged with DWI & BAC .08% or more, both misdemeanors in the Town of Beekman.

Heather Pelton (36 yoa) of Poughkeepsie, NY was charged with DWI & BAC .08% or more, both misdemeanors in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
Andrew Elliot (27 yoa) of Hyde Park, NY was charged with DWI, a felony in the City of Poughkeepsie.,The DWI was a felony since Elliot had two prior DWI convictions within the prior ten years, those being on 12/20/07 in the Town of Hyde Park and 04/08/09 in the Town of New Paltz. Elliot was arraigned in the City of Poughkeepsie Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on bail.
Andrew Perry (28 yoa) of Marlboro, NY was charged with DWI & Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 1st, both felonies, as well as Operating a Motor Vehicle without an Ignition Interlock Device, a misdemeanor in the City of Poughkeepsie. The DWI was a felony since Perry had two prior DWI convictions within the prior ten years, those being on March 25, 2010 and December 17, 2012 both in Orange County. The AUO charge was a felony since his licenses was revoked for a DWI related offense and he was intoxicated while operating the motor vehicle. Perry had a total of four active suspensions and four active revocations which were dating 2009 thru 2013, five of which were DWI related. He was arraigned in the City of Poughkeepsie Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
Amalia Urbaez (52 yoa) of Bronx, NY was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, failing to comply and other traffic infractions in the Town of Pawling after she failed to stop for a Dutchess County Deputy Sheriff on Route 22 in the Town of Pawling. Urbaez was then involved in a vehicle pursuit that lead into Putnam County and ended in Brewster, NY when the New York State Police deployed Stop Sticks and disabled her vehicle. The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by both the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Police who also issued her tickets for traffic infractions in Putnam County.
Douglass Gordineer (32 yoa) of Mahopac, NY was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 2nd, a misdemeanor in the Town of East Fishkill.
Cynthia Flemmings (45 yoa) of Windsor, CT was charged with DWI & Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 1st, both felonies, Operating a Motor Vehicle without an Ignition Interlock Device, as well as False Personation, both misdemeanors in the Village of Wappingers Falls.
Nathan Catts (21 yoa) of Poughkeepsie, NY was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th & False Personation, both misdemeanors in the Village of Wappingers Falls.
