Obituary, Anita L. Duncan

 

Hopewell Junction, NY – Anita L. Duncan, 71, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born on May 1, 1946 in Manhattan NY, the daughter of Ernest and Hilde (Henschel ) Gelbrecht Sr.

Anita was a building manager for Taconic Developmental Services in Wassaic, NY. She also worked at the Amenia Post Office for five years as a clerk.

She was a member and very active volunteer with her church, especially running supplies like food and clothing for the homeless to NYC.

Survivors include her eight children, Gene (Sandra) Duncan, Larry Duncan, Mark Duncan, Dennis Duncan (Tammy Ritter), Amanda Sisk (Rorrie), Brian Tamburrino (Gwen Menshenfriend), Matthew Tamburrino (Lisa LaTempa), Richard Tamburrino (Ashlea), sixteen grandchildren, Jessica and Bobby Caputo, Victoria, Ingrid, Nicole, Christy, Lindsee, Ashlee, Paige, Khiya, Everett, Sebastian, Derek, Jack, Charlotte, Sophie, two great-grandchildren, Bella and Gavin and two cousins, Ray and Carol Galli. She was predeceased by her brother, Ernest Gelbrecht Jr.

Calling hours are from 11 to 2 PM on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Missions Church 4101 Rte. 52 Holmes, NY 12531.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, February 24, from the church with Rev. Linda Schreck officiating.

Interment will be private.
