Cortlandt, New York – On February 8, 2018, the New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Rebecca P. Simmons, age 33, of Putnam Valley, for Forgery in the 2nddegree, a class D felony, Identity Theft in the 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th degree, both class E felonies, and Identity Theft in the 3rd degree, a class A misdemeanor.

On January 23, 2018, Troopers received a complaint of possible identity theft in the town of Cortlandt.  An investigation found that Simmons made multiple purchases with a stolen credit card.

Simmons was arraigned before the town of Cortlandt Court and released on her own recognizance.
