Cortlandt man arrested for felony DWI and aggravated unlicensed operation

Croton-Hudson, New York – On February 9, 2018, the New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Christopher Johnson, age 42, of Cortlandt, for Driving While Intoxicated with a previous conviction within 10 years, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st degree, both class E felonies.

On February 9, 2018, at approximately 3:40 a.m., Troopers conducted a vehicle stop of a 2017 Dodge Challenger on State Route 9 in the Village of Croton-Hudson for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law.  Johnson was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was subsequently arrested.  Further investigation found that Johnson’s license was suspended for a previous DWI conviction.

Johnson was arraigned before the town of Cortlandt Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail.  Johnson’s next scheduled appearance is scheduled for February 14, 2018, at 9:00 a.m.
