…Accumulating snow and slick conditions will be expected early Friday morning…

Rain will continue to transition to snow over the Mid Hudson Valley, southern and central Taconics, Berkshires and Litchfield County Connecticut prior to midnight. Snowfall rates could briefly reach a half an inch to an inch an hour over the Litchfield Hills, southern Taconics and southern Berkshires between midnight and 3 am.

Total snow accumulations prior to 5 am will be in the 1 to 3 inch range. Roads will likely become snow covered and slippery. Also, with temperatures falling into the 20s, wet surfaces will become
icy. Northwest winds will increases to 10 to 20 mph.

Motorists should be prepared for hazardous travel and leave extra time to reach their destinations.
