Obituary, Alfred Kaye

 

Stormville – Alfred Kaye, 88, a resident of Stormville since 1962 and previously of the Bronx, died on January 24, 2018, at Putnam Hospital Center.

Born in the Bronx on June 8, 1929, Alfred was the son of Jack and Tilly Kaye. He proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Alfred worked for Teca in White Plains as an electrical engineer until his retirement. He loved spending time at his home, thoroughly enjoying the peace and quiet while sitting beside the fire. He loved feeding animals, especially the birds, and cooking.

Survivors include his wife, Erika Kaye; his children, Dietrich Kaye and his wife Claudia, Karl Kaye, Paul Kaye and his wife Kristina, and Renate Kaye; and his grandchildren, John, Hannah, Kristi and Karli. He was predeceased by his sister, Mildred Kaye.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 9:30 – 11 am at 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The service will follow at 11:30 am at St. Peter’s Cemetery, 171 Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie with military honors.
