Four motorists arrested for driving while impaired

On January 23, 2018, State Police Kingston arrested Albert Merck, 39, of Galway, NY for DWI. Troopers responded to a 911 call for a single car crash on Johnson Hill Road in the town of Marbletown. While speaking with the operator of the vehicle, troopers determined that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.

On January 23, 2018, State Police Monroe arrested Stanley Charles, 37, of Stratford, CT for DWAI Drugs. He was traveling on State Route 17 in the town of Monroe when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation determined that he was impaired by drugs and was subsequently arrested.

On January 24, 2018, State Police Hamptonburg arrested Tristen Smith, 39, of Pine Bush, NY for DWI. She was traveling on North Plank Road in the town of Newburgh when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation determined that she was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.

On January 24, 2018, State Police Monroe arrested Robert Matthews, 19, of Brooklyn, NY for DWAI Drugs. He was traveling on State Route 17 in the town of Blooming Grove when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation determined that he was impaired by drugs and was subsequently arrested.
