Olivebridge man arrested for passing counterfeit currency

PRESS RELEASE
The New York State Police at Kingston arrested Robert V. Barros, 62, of Olivebridge, NY for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st Degree.
An investigation determined that on December 16, 2017, Barros made a purchase with a counterfeit one hundred dollar bill, and on December 31, 2017, he attempted to use another counterfeit bill that was refused from the store.
Barros was arraigned before the Town of Ulster Justice Court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 24, 2018. The investigation is still ongoing.
